Deep Cleaning

Top-to-bottom reset, the way it's supposed to be done.

A deep clean is what your home needs when a regular wipe-down isn't going to cut it — first cleans before recurring service, spring cleanings, post-holiday resets, or anytime your home feels like it's accumulated more than the surface dirt. Jemstone's deep clean covers everything in our recurring clean PLUS the spots regular maintenance skips: behind appliances, inside cabinets, baseboards scrubbed (not just spot-cleaned), light fixtures, vents, deep grout work, and more.

What's Included

What we actually do.

Every visit includes

  • Everything in our recurring clean (kitchen, baths, bedrooms, living areas)
  • Behind and under all major appliances (fridge pulled out where possible, stove moved)
  • Inside oven and microwave (fully degreased)
  • Inside refrigerator (shelves removed and cleaned)
  • Inside cabinets and drawers (kitchen + bath)
  • Baseboards fully scrubbed (not spot-cleaned)
  • Doors, doorframes, and trim hand-wiped
  • Light fixtures and ceiling fans dusted and wiped
  • Vents and registers dusted
  • Window sills and tracks scrubbed
  • Grout work in bathrooms (where standard cleaning hasn't kept up)
  • Floors hand-mopped (not just machine-mopped)

When you need this

Most clients book a deep clean as their FIRST cleaning before starting recurring service — it brings everything to a true baseline so shorter recurring visits actually stay clean. Others book deep cleans seasonally (spring, fall), after holidays, before listing a home, or when life has been busier than usual and the house needs a real reset.

What affects pricing

  • Home size (square footage, number of rooms)
  • Time since last deep clean (longer = more time)
  • Add-ons: inside fridge, inside oven, inside cabinets — included in standard deep but called out for transparency
  • Typically priced as roughly two recurring visits — but you only need one to reset

Most deep cleans use a 2-person crew so we can finish in one visit (typically 4-6 hours for a 3 BR home).

Before we leave, a quick walkthrough together so you can flag anything to revisit. We don't leave until you're happy.

Deep Cleaning FAQs

Questions clients ask.

Do I need a deep clean or is recurring enough?

If your home has been cleaned regularly within the last 4-6 weeks, recurring is probably enough. If it's been longer, you have an upcoming event, or you're starting recurring service for the first time, deep is the right starting point.

How long does a deep clean take?

For a typical 3-bedroom NEPA home, 4-6 hours with our standard 2-cleaner team. Larger homes or homes that haven't been cleaned in months may need longer — we'll quote accurately.

Can I just book a deep clean every few months instead of recurring?

Yes — many of our Carbondale and Old Forge clients do exactly that. Bi-monthly or quarterly deep cleans + you maintaining between visits. We'll make it work.

What's the difference between your deep clean and a competitor's deep clean?

Honest answer: we actually do the things in the list above. Many "deep cleans" in NEPA are just longer recurring cleans without the inside-fridge, behind-appliance, baseboard-scrubbing detail. Ours include all of it.

Are products included? Are they pet/kid safe?

Yes — we bring everything. Our default lineup is eco-friendly, fragrance-free, and safe around pets and kids. If you have specific allergies or preferred brands, just let us know.
