Pricing & quotes

How much does cleaning cost?

Flat-rate quotes after a 60-second online form. Typical NEPA ranges: studio/1 BR $90–$140, 2 BR $130–$180, 3 BR $160–$240, 4 BR $230–$340 per recurring visit. Deep cleans run 1.5–2x recurring price; move-out cleans run 2–3x. See our 2026 Scranton cleaning cost guide for the full breakdown.

Do you charge by the hour or flat-rate?

Flat-rate per visit. The price you agree to is the price you pay — if a cleaning runs longer than expected, that's our problem, not yours. We never bill more after the job.

Do you offer discounts for recurring service?

Yes — bi-weekly costs less per visit than monthly, and weekly costs less than bi-weekly. The math works because frequent cleanings have less buildup to deal with each time.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Pet fees, supply fees, and travel fees within Lackawanna County are all included in the flat-rate quote. The only "extras" are explicit add-ons (e.g., inside-fridge for recurring service, full wall washing for move-outs) which you'd opt into knowingly.

How quickly will I get my quote?

Same business day. Submit before 5 PM and we respond by end of day; submit after 5 PM and we respond first thing the next business morning.

Do you require a contract?

No — no contracts, no auto-renewal, no cancellation fees. Pause, skip, or end recurring service anytime.

Can you give me a quote without a walk-through?

Yes — for residential cleans, the online form gives us enough info to flat-rate quote remotely. For commercial walkthroughs we'll do a free 20-minute on-site visit.

Do you bill before or after the cleaning?

After. No upfront payment, no deposits. Most clients pay via credit card on file (auto-charged after each visit) or by check left at the cleaning.

Scheduling & access

How fast can you start?

Same business day for the quote. First cleaning typically within 3–5 days. Last-minute requests: call (570) 878-3611 — we sometimes have same-day or next-day availability.

What days do you work?

Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM. Sundays by special arrangement (event prep, emergency Airbnb turnovers).

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

No — most recurring clients give us a key, garage code, or lockbox combo. We're insured and bonded for exactly this. If you'd rather be home, that's fine too.

How do I give you a key?

Whatever works for you: physical key, garage code, lockbox, or smart-lock one-time code. We document the handoff so there's a paper trail.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes — email or text us at least 24 hours ahead. No fees, no contracts. Same-day emergencies happen too — just call.

What if you don't show up?

You'll have a confirmed time window and the cleaner's name beforehand. If we're more than 30 minutes late, you'll hear from us proactively — and the cleaning is free if we're more than an hour late without notice.

How long does a cleaning take?

Recurring 3 BR: typically 2.5–3.5 hours (one cleaner). Deep clean 3 BR: 4–6 hours (often two cleaners). Move-out 3 BR: 5–7 hours. We give you an arrival window, not a strict end time.

Trust, insurance, safety

Are you insured?

Yes — fully insured (general liability $1M+) and bonded against theft. Certificate of Insurance available within an hour for commercial clients on request.

Do you background-check your cleaners?

Every Jemstone cleaner is background-checked (national + Pennsylvania state criminal record) and reference-checked before they ever step into a client's home.

Do you carry workers' compensation?

Yes — every employee. This protects you (the homeowner) from being liable if a cleaner is injured in your home.

What if something gets broken or damaged?

Tell us immediately — same-day if possible. Our liability insurance covers accidental damage. We'll replace, repair, or reimburse, depending on what makes sense.

Will I have the same cleaner every visit?

Yes — same cleaner each visit who learns your home and preferences. Backup cleaner only in case of illness or vacation, and they're briefed on your home beforehand.

What if I don't get along with my assigned cleaner?

Tell us — we'll switch you to a different cleaner, no awkwardness. Personal fit matters and we'd rather find the right match than lose a client.

Products & supplies

What products do you use?

Default lineup: eco-friendly, fragrance-free, pet- and kid-safe (Branch Basics, Method, Seventh Generation, Force of Nature). HEPA-filter vacuums. Color-coded microfiber. See our products guide for the full list.

Are your products safe for pets?

Yes — default lineup is non-toxic to dogs and cats (no pine cleaners, which are toxic to cats). Tell us about your pets in the quote form so we know.

Are products safe for babies / kids / asthma?

Default products are EPA Safer Choice or Green Seal certified, fragrance-free, low-VOC. For severe asthma or chemical sensitivity, just tell us — we can use only your preferred products from under your sink.

Can I supply my own products?

Yes — many recurring clients have us use their preferred products. Leave them out before our visit.

Do you bring vacuums and equipment?

Yes — HEPA vacuums, microfiber cloths, mops, supplies — everything. You don't need to provide anything.

Services we offer (and don't)

What's the difference between recurring and deep cleaning?

Recurring is maintenance — keeps an already-clean home consistent. Deep cleaning is a reset — adds inside appliances, behind furniture, baseboards, vents, light fixtures. See our comparison guide.

Do you offer commercial / office cleaning?

Yes — after-hours janitorial for offices, medical practices, salons, retail, and storefronts. Learn more.

Do you do move-in / move-out cleans for rentals?

Yes — landlord-grade detail designed to pass any inspection. Learn more.

Do you do post-construction cleanup?

Yes — drywall dust, paint splatter, sticker residue, full polish. Learn more.

Do you do Airbnb turnovers?

Yes — same-day turnovers built around the 11 AM check-out / 4 PM check-in window. Linen swaps, restock checks, damage photos. Learn more.

Do you clean carpets?

We vacuum (with HEPA filters). For deep steam cleaning, we refer to a NEPA carpet cleaning specialist — happy to recommend one.

Do you do windows?

Interior windows yes, including sills and tracks. Exterior windows above the second story we don't handle for safety reasons — refer to a window specialist.

Do you handle mold remediation?

We can clean visible surface mold during a regular cleaning. For serious mold issues (water damage, structural), you need a licensed remediation specialist — happy to refer.

Do you do hoarding cleanups?

No — hoarding cleanouts are a specialty service requiring different training and equipment. We refer to NEPA specialists.

Service area

What areas do you serve?

All of Lackawanna County: Clarks Summit, Scranton, Dunmore, Dickson City, Old Forge, Moosic, Throop, Taylor, South Abington, Waverly, Clarks Green, and Carbondale.

Do you serve outside Lackawanna County?

Sometimes — reach out and we'll let you know. Wyoming and Susquehanna County requests are case-by-case.

Do you charge a travel fee?

No travel fees within Lackawanna County. Outside the county, we may add a small adjustment based on distance.

Satisfaction & complaints

What if I'm not happy with a cleaning?

Call or email within 24 hours — we come back free to fix anything that was missed. That's our 100% satisfaction guarantee, in writing.

How do I leave feedback?

Email [email protected], text the cleaner directly, or call (570) 878-3611. Feedback (positive or negative) gets a response within the same business day.

Should I tip the cleaner?

Tipping is optional. If you want to: $10–20 per visit for great work, or a holiday bonus, is the local NEPA norm. Cash preferred (so it goes directly to the cleaner).
